HHS secretary says the partnership is “pulling back the curtain” to uncover the roots of chronic illnesses.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have announced a new partnership to create a real-world data platform for advanced medical research. The initiative is designed to link claims data, electronic health records, and wearable devices while upholding privacy laws and will initially focus on autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The collaboration will begin with a pilot project analyzing Medicare and Medicaid enrollees diagnosed with ASD.
The effort, led by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, reflects a broader commitment to research on chronic diseases and healthcare disparities.
“We’re using this partnership to uncover the root causes of autism and other chronic diseases,” said Secretary Kennedy. “We’re pulling back the curtain—with full transparency and accountability—to deliver the honest answers families have waited far too long to hear.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for Secretary Kennedy, Director Bhattacharya, and Administrator Oz as they seek to discover the root causes of chronic illnesses.
- For HHS officials to be transparent and accountable in their research and investigations.
